New York Premiere in One Week!
We open in a week from today at The New Ohio Theater part of terraNOVA Collective's soloNOVA Arts Festival! It's taken almost 2 years, but Andrea Kuchlewska, Liam Billingham and myself have been working hard to get this up and going in our hometown so we couldn't be more thrilled with our debut.

I think I'm turning Cantonese, I really think so...
The TUB! Courtesy of the Crossroads Org. It's headed to Kazakhstan when we're done with it!
Fringe Club Studio Theater
View from the house.
Opening night and feeling nauseous...long day of tech rehearsal...
The amazing Giles Burton, producer of HFB in Hong Kong cleaning his glorious find.
Audience #1.
One show down at Microfest Hong Kong. We had a 50+ audience last night for the opening show! Good response although very much wishing I had my director with me as there are still some parts that seem to be lagging. I didn't get arrested for nudity! Yay!

Another Openin' Another Show!
Opening night in Hong Kong at 8pm! Already 40 tickets sold. Had a radio interview with Phil Wheelan on RTHK yesterday, set to have a live phone interview this morning as well. Getting nervous and wishing I could sleep past 6am over here...long day ahead of picking up bathtub, teching the show and then givin it to the people! Woot woot.

Human Fruit Bowl in a GoGo!
Yesterday, received a phone call from the far east to hold an interview for the upcoming run in Hong Kong. The piece will be published on CNNGo.com in the upcoming weeks prior to the show's premiere.
The run in Amsterdam Fringe was successful! Still intrigued by each audience's reactions. Hong Kong will be the first run with primarily English speaking houses, so it will be interesting to see if the humor translates better than in the Dutch community.
Andrea and I have been meeting to discuss rewrites as well as finding a producer who can help us launch this show on our home turf in New York City! Coming soon...

Goin' Dutch
Opened last night in the Amsterdam Fringe Festival! Great audience, almost full. Wonderful to have Sam and Anna Levy in the house. We did have a couple minor glitches, but such is live theater. The gentelmen at Rozentheater could not be more welcoming and accomodating so feeling very lucky and a bit overwhelmed at the warm reception for the show. Three more performances to go tonight, tomorrow and Tuesday evenings. Hoping to finally head over to the Fringe Hub tonight to meet some other performers and get the word out!

Rehearsal Shmahersal
After about a month and a half of giving HFB a rest, Andrea Kuchlewska, Liam Billingham and I are finally meeting for a pre-Amsterdam rehearsal/Andrea-has-never-seen-me-perform-the-play brush-up! There are some possible rewrites to think about but mostly I just need to make sure it's all still alive and well in my noggin.
I have a tub and I have a techie who will never replace the skills and pre-show stupidity of Mr. Billingham, but I'm sure it will be a romping good time nonetheless!
Also: looking at future fringe options. My old professor sent me a link to a grant that is geared toward shows looking to be involved in international fringes so: Edinburgh? Adelaide, Australia? Mexico City?
